It seems that the deposed prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, has turned his every appearance before an accountability court into a huge opportunity: he would be addressing media after every hearing to step up his criticism of higher judiciary and he would be doing it consistently. Isn't ironic on the part of a three-time elected prime minister in the history of the country to try to make remarks about a highly respected institution of the country in a highly crude manner? Failing to use metaphors to vent his anger, he has been criticizing the senior judges openly and brazenly. It appears that he is least bothered about the electoral prospects of his party. The expression of sheer frustration on a daily basis says it all. Little does he know that he through his highly questionable conduct is setting an unfortunate precedent in country's history of politics. He appears to be fully unmindful of the fact that his approach to country's institutions is also undermining the political prospects of every member of the Sharif family.
